Kaufmann steps up with first standalone Drumcode release, ‘Easy A’.Berlin-based producer Kaufmann has released ‘Easy A’, her first standalone release on Drumcode.
The two-tracker follows a growing run of appearances on the label, including contributions to its DC4 and A-Sides series and ‘K.O.’, her recent collaboration with Oliver Huntemann.
Originally created as instrumental tools for Kaufmann’s DJ sets, both tracks are built around the rolling grooves that have become central to her sound, developing through tense, gradually unfolding arrangements designed firmly for the dancefloor.
The tracks have already been road-tested extensively, featuring in Kaufmann’s sets at Drumcode’s 30th anniversary event in Mallorca, Awakenings, 909 Festival, Loveland and RESISTANCE.
“She’s doing amazing music. I like her groove, her rollers and her vibe. She’s the real deal from Berlin,” Drumcode founder Adam Beyer says of the artist.
‘Easy A’ continues a busy period for Kaufmann, who has also recently appeared at Awakenings and Drumcode Mallorca as her relationship with the label continues to develop.
