Keeping their identity under wraps, KENZ has quietly been carving a path through the underground, already making moves on labels like Tchami‘s Confessions and Wade‘s Criterio. Their sound blends hip-hop grit with tech house drive and bass-heavy punch – a style that now lands on Lee Foss’ flagship label Repopulate Mars withthe ‘Rake It Up’ double A-side.
Title track ‘Rake It Up’ is a razor-edged tech house cut with real swagger. Rising synths crank up the tension as sweeping filters drive the track into full release, while treated, trap-style vocals inject streetwise sensibility next to strobe-like stabs and raw, textured bass.
On the digital flip, ‘Dance’ leans into a chunky groove, with popping drums and deadpan vocals riding chattery claps and zippy melodies. It’s a sharp, peak-time tool with serious bite.
KENZ ‘Rake It Up’ EP drops via Repopulate Mars on 13th March 2026.
