Irish hip-hop artist KeSTine is set to release his highly anticipated third studio album, Another Season, on November 15, 2024. The LP follows his deeply personal single “Options,” released November 1, which sets the stage for the themes of faith, family, and the cycle of life explored in the full album.
Another Season is a reflection on time—both fleeting and precious—and the choices we face as we move through life’s seasons. For KeSTine, the album is a meditation on the moments that define us and the relationships that shape us, particularly the bond with his aging parents. The album is steeped in personal experiences, particularly the loss of his beloved grandmother, and KeSTine grapples with the idea of how to honor that memory while still moving forward.
“I’m praying for another season with those I love,” says KeSTine. “The reality of losing people close to you makes you realize how important every second really is. Another Season is about appreciating the present while confronting the fear that time is running out.”
The album’s lead single “Options” captures this tension, offering a soulful reflection on the crossroads we face in life. The track, with its soulful melody and poignant lyrics, speaks to KeSTine’s inner struggle between acceptance and anger in the wake of grief. It’s a perfect introduction to the emotional depth of Another Season, where themes of hope, regret, and the desire for generational blessing are woven into every track.
Produced by Outsider Yp and featuring contributions from producers Puzzle Beatz, Dionso, and Isiah 22, Another Season blends KeSTine’s distinct Irish hip-hop sound with influences from global music styles. With production that draws from Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical mastery, Kojey Radical’s storytelling, early Kanye West’s genre-blending, and the soulful rhythms of South African Amapiano, KeSTine crafts a sound that is uniquely his own.
The album explores deep emotional territory, from the fear of unfulfilled dreams in “Gone So Long” to the affirmation of faith in the album closer, “Child’s Prayer.” Throughout, KeSTine grapples with the tension between chasing his ambitions and fearing the loss of those closest to him. Yet, despite the darker themes, Another Season is ultimately an album about perseverance, faith, and the hope that through struggle comes a greater purpose.
The LP also reflects KeSTine’s own evolution as an artist, capturing his growth since the release of his 2021 EP Reflection. His trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable—receiving critical acclaim from Hot Press Magazine, Golden Plec, and others, as well as winning the Best Hip-Hop Music Video award at the 2022 Rome Music Video Awards for his track “U.N.I.T.Y.” KeSTine has become a familiar face on the Irish and UK festival circuit, gracing stages at Electric Picnic, Indiependence, and more, and now, with Another Season, he’s set to solidify his place as one of Ireland’s brightest hip-hop stars.
With his third album, KeSTine moves into a new chapter, one that is as much about introspection and self-discovery as it is about family, faith, and legacy. Another Season is not just an album—it’s a reflection on life’s fleeting beauty and the power of resilience.
