Khadija releases new EP ‘Dunya I’ via REK’D

Berlin’s Khadija arrives on REK’D with the ‘Dunya I’ EP on 23rd January 2026. The Rafiki founder unveils the first chapter of a three-part series for Radio Slave’s 2024-launched imprint, opening with deep House cut ‘Dreaming’, a mysterious, low-slung groover woven with lush pads, choral harmonies, and tripped-out alien clicks that lend a subtle sense of foreboding to its otherwise dreamlike flow. ‘Soul Clap’ is up next, stretching to an impressive eleven minutes, and hypnotising with a looping vocal over a steady, stripped-back rhythm, channelling gospel energy and deep emotion into a meditative, feel-good House cut.

“Dunya I is the first chapter of a trilogy and a deeply personal heart project born in my kitchen in Berlin in August 2025. Created during a period of family crises, personal challenges, and intense reflection, every sound was guided solely by my heart. Dunya explores life, faith, resilience, and emotion – my personal testimony of finding strength, hope, and connection even in the most difficult times.” – Khadija
