Kidnap releases new single “Tears” via Cercle Records

Kidnap makes his debut on Cercle Records with “Tears”, an enigmatic melodic techno track sublimed by a spacious sample from jazz singer Mélanie De Biasio. This atmospheric gem delivers a profound electronic groove where raw emotion meet immersive soundscapes. Out now on Cercle Records.

“Tears” is rooted in musical richness and depth, where a subtle use of saturation weaves warmth and harmonic tension throughout the production. Rather than leading with melody, Kidnap anchored the track in structure, deliberately subverting expectation by stripping the harmonic elements down to their essence. The true power lies in the phrasing: by sustaining each chord for varying and unexpected durations, Kidnap sculpted a sense of tension and release that feels both instinctive and deeply emotional.

‘I have been hoping to make a club track that sampled the vocals of Melanie De Biasio for a long time. She has one of the most unique and powerful voices I have ever heard. Once I the musical idea for Tears emerged, I knew the time had come. I am grateful to Melanie for allowing me to reinterpret her incredible work’. – Kidnap
