“I wrote this song about going back to the places you used to visit with that special person in your life. You go back now, searching for that same feeling, but it just isn’t there,” shares informal. “It’s about giving new meaning to places that once held an emotional connection that shifted through heartbreak.”
He adds, “‘favorite places’ is the first track I’ve ever released with my own vocals. I don’t normally consider myself a singer (at least not a very good one), so if I’m not sampling another track, I always have another artist write and record the lyrics. But this time it’s all me; the writing, the singing, the production, the final mix & master.
