LCAW has released his long-awaited debut EP ‘Meet In The Middle’ via Columbia Germany / Ultra Music. The EP contains 3 brand new songs, plus the recently released single ‘Hummingbird’ ft. Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
‘Meet In The Middle’ is a celebration of LCAW’s ever developing sound, and the collection showcases not only his production talents, but his songwriting abilities. Each of the 4 tracks is an example of perfect pop meets electronica.
LCAW is the alias of Berlin-based, Munich native Leon Weber. The 23 year old artist began his journey in classical music, growing up in a family of musicians and training as a Cellist and Pianist before developing into an electronic producer. Even now, Leon still tours with a classical quartet, balancing this life with that of an internationally renowned electronic artist.
He burst onto the electronic scene in 2013 as his unofficial bootleg mixes started to gain traction online – since earning him a legion of followers and supporters.
LCAW’s unique blend of pop and dance music has gained him support from the likes of ODESZA, Martin Garrix, Robin Schulz, and Felix Jaehn. He has also since turned in acclaimed remixes for the likes of London Grammar, Parov Stelar, Asaf Avidan, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Marlon Roudette, ZHU and many others.
‘Meet In The Middle’ is the first body of original material from LCAW, following a series of original single releases over the last 2 years, including collaborations with Dagny, Sophie Hintze and WhoMadeWho
LCAW said: “Telling a story with only one single at a time is difficult so it was a dream come true to put together this EP. The writing and production process has been very rewarding from start to finish and I’m very happy how well all of the tracks fit together. I got to work with amazing vocalists and to have Sophie Ellis-Bextor feature on ‘Hummingbird’ is just something very special”.
