The iconic Israeli psytrance duo Infected Mushroom today returned to Monstercat with the announcement that their anticipated album, ‘IM25’ is set for release this September. Kicking off the package, they’ve introduced the first single, “A Cookie From Space” in collaboration with fellow Israeli artist, Bliss. The 10-minute-long endeavor is a brilliant journey through their experimental sound design and prismatic arrangements that have cemented them as respected music pioneers. Embodying a trip through the galaxy, they perfectly balance psychedelic highs with electric guitar licks, and operatic vocals with otherworldly synthwork.

Infected Mushroom share, “‘A Cookie from Space’ is a collaboration between us and Bliss, and it has the feel of a band playing all together. This was our fourth or fifth collective effort! The title comes from the lyrics which say, “A cookie from space is melting your face.” Bliss wrote it, and when someone has a mullet from space, you don’t ask for the meaning, you just sit in awe of the inspiration that flows from its wondrous nature.”
Last year, Infected Mushroom celebrated their quarter-century legacy with their AI-enabled ‘Shroomeez’ NFT drop and corresponding EP on Monstercat. Given touring restrictions due to Covid, they wanted to wait until they could properly bring their full-length project to fans around the world. Now is that time. Their milestone ‘IM25’ performance to over 20,000 fans in Tel Aviv marked the largest headline in their careers and served as a primer for the historic shows to come surrounding their commemorative body of work.
