Lightchild ‘No Strings Attached’

Blossoming New York-based artist Lightchild makes her highly-anticipated return this March, as she unveils her mesmerising debut album ‘No Strings Attached’.

Making waves in the pop music scene by reinventing ‘80s pop sounds to illuminate modern anxieties, Lightchild found success at an early age, growing up between the two worlds of Tokyo and New York City with major performances for legendary artist Quincy Jones, and President Obama with NY Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Gaining serious heat with major studios including film directors and composers on several soundtracks as a music editor, including Boots Riley’s ‘Sorry To Bother You’, Radha Blank’s ‘Forty Year Old Version’ and Lena Waithe’s ‘Beauty’, this multi-faceted artist continues to prove that she is not only an artist on the rise but an extremely accomplished individual.

Her debut, entirely self-produced album, ‘No Strings Attached’ sees Lightchild unveil a dynamic selection of cuts and is packed with plenty of finesse for every listener. Elevating and atmospheric, it flawlessly showcases her alluring vocal performance and innovative production whilst firmly cementing her as a unique name on the rise right now.

“It’s about releasing your baggage, and travel lighter in your spiritual journey. We need to keep moving forward no matter what difficulties we face. And sometimes we need to let go and close old doors to find new ones.” Lightchild

Amongst many accomplishments, Lightchild is the founder of her self-titled music and motion picture-focused creative studio ‘LIGHTCHILD’ – developing her original projects in immersive media. Her previous work with major studios includes Warner Brothers New Line Cinema, Universal Studios, and HBO and her independent films have featured in Sundance Festival, Toronto Film Festival and American Black Film Festival
