All hail Chicago. The Windy City’s newest wunderkid duo Louis The Child just remixed Chi-town superstar Chance The Rapper’s hit “All Night,” and the result — premiering today (Aug 15) on Billboard Dance — is pure magic.
With the help of surging bass, wobbly synths and snappy percussion, Louis The Child infuse the laid-back Coloring Book hit with a blissful, glistening new groove, paying homage to the rapper they call an “inspiration.”
“Chance is an inspiration and a role model. We love the positivity he puts out into the world,” Louis The Child members Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett tell Billboard. “Being from Chicago, we’ve been fans of Chance for a while and we were excited to remix our favorite song off Coloring Book.”
And there’s more — on the heels of their set at Outside Lands over the weekend, the duo are also announcing an extensive North American headline tour to kick off August 18.
The tour is set to cap off a successful year for the pair, who dropped their EP Love Is Alive in March via Ultra Music, scoring their fourth entry on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts with “Slow Down Love” shortly after.
