Today, in celebration of Women’s History Month, dance music powerhouse LP Giobbi’s nonprofit FEMME HOUSE releases its new 14-track compilation Femme House Vol. 2, in partnership with Insomniac Records.

Femme House Vol. 2 features all-female and female-identifying artists, including LP Giobbi herself, FEMME HOUSE Chief of Education/synth-pop artist mini bear, dancefloor dominator Mary Droppinz, inclusivity advocate Baby Weight, rising sister house duo Lisbona Sisters, and more. As LP told Billboard, “You can’t be what you can’t see,” which is why FEMME HOUSE has been a top-priority initiative for her since its launch.
FEMME HOUSE stays true to its ethos with this release, continuing to amplify the voices of marginalized communities with workshops, activations, panels, and pop-up events planned for 2024. On March 7, FEMME HOUSE and Insomniac Records will host a pop-up at Homage Brewing Chinatown in Los Angeles, featuring a “soundcheck” set from Mary Droppinz followed by a meet and greet and DJ support by Robyn Balliet. ABOUT LP GIOBBI
LP Giobbi is a DJ, producer, pianist, and activist who has earned over 150 million streams across all platforms. Since emerging in the dance scene in 2018, she has performed her “one-woman jam band” DJ sets, blending her decks with her live piano (+sampler) at high-profile festivals like Coachella, EDC, and Creamfields. She’s also supported iconic artists like Pete Tong, Fatboy Slim, Mochakk, and Dead & Co, everywhere from Fabric in London to Red Rocks in Colorado. Wanting to change the statistic that only 2% of producers are women, she has provided thousands of female and gender-expansive individuals access to production workshops, online courses, and scholarship programs for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC creators with her nonprofit FEMME HOUSE.
ABOUT FEMME HOUSE
FEMME HOUSE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit co-founded in 2019 by LP Giobbi and HERMIXALOT to create equity in music by amplifying the voices of women, femme, gender expansive and non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC creators. By providing education, scholarships, mentorship, community, and visual representation, FEMME HOUSE is eliminating the historic barriers of entry to the music industry, and creating a more equitable system by empowering future creators and executives from marginalized backgrounds. Since launching in 2019, FEMME HOUSE has educated over 10,000 aspiring creators via online coursework and free workshops, producing 35 sessions that reached over 4,000 people in 2023 alone.
