SIGNAL’ film premiere (30 mins), Thursday 22nd October @ 7PM – Tickets

M07’s single follows the recent announcement of his ‘SIGNAL’ live performance film, premiering on 22ndOctober at Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski as part of Amsterdam Dance Event’s Official Arts & Culture Program, before a tour and YouTube release. The single gives an intriguing taste of his film soundtrack, and the full EP due early 2027.

New single ‘Broken’: Diamond-sharp production makes for an immediately danceable yet heart-tugging track. The ethereal, breathy, soaring voice of Alona Chernenko swims over resonant pizzicato melodic arps – ‘what if I am still alive / what if I don’t want to die /nobody wanna be broken’ – further showcased by the breakdown, with a hoover siren heralding the drop.

‘I wrote this track over Telegram with Alona Chernenko, one-half of the emerging Ukrainian alt-pop duo Nesamovyta, who also sings on the record. I was in Spain and Alona in Kyiv, in January 2026, during the blackouts from strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Millions had only a few hours of electricity per day,’ says M07, named for the Kyiv–Warsaw highway out of Ukraine that millions took in 2022. He lived in Kyiv from 2013 until the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

Now based in Spain, his work remains shaped by his years in Kyiv. The music came before and never stopped: Los Angeles dance radio was playing his tracks while he was still in high school, and over the next twenty-five years he wrote around three hundred more, shared only with friends. His debut EP, KM0, arrived in February 2026.

In between, M07 successfully explored every side of the business except the stage: rave promoter in early-2000s Los Angeles (including producing what was then the West Coast’s largest drum-and-bass event, drawing around 5,000 people), talent buyer, booking agent, manager, software creator for the live music industry… Now, ‘SIGNAL’ is the culmination: darker, distorted, hardware-sourced, closer to what he was making in private all along.

A version of ‘Broken’ was also recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios as part of M07’s SIGNAL live performance film, produced by M07 and an elite team. Watch out for the film tour/online release and the full EP, as long-established talent M07 takes centre stage at last.
