Mack Loenz returns to Lone Romantic with neon-lit, future-facing electro single ‘Follow Me’

Mack Loenz is a new project from longstanding electro favourite Larry McCormick, aka Exzakt. It’s shaped by a newly refined vision to push electro into a more expressive space, with 80s synths, pop vocals, and melancholic melodies that have a retro-future charm and deep, bass-driven sound. Lone Romantic is a perfect home, and Maceo Plex has long been playing Mack Loenz tunes in his sets, while the artist, who under his previous alias was at home everywhere from Fabric to Tresor, has already played live at KOKO and is part of many label events going forward.

‘Follow Me’ ignites in neon haze, spiraling arpeggios moving through a deep, pulsing low-end, with razor-sharp 808s cutting through like distant signals. A detached, autotuned vocal drifts like a fading transmission, carrying a melodic, contemporary edge that sits against its fractured, sci-fi electronic texture as the track drives toward a luminous crescendo.

‘It’s Complicated’ settles into a slower current, where rolling drums and wide analogue pads open into a suspended, expansive space. Vintage-tinged synth lines drift across the surface, while a tender, intimate vocal anchors the track in something human and fragile, like a memory of a future still unfolding.

Mack Loenz’s ‘Follow Me’ comes on Lone Romantic on 24th July 2026.
