Maud Geffray and Sébastien Chenut, aka Scratch Massive, follow up the huge success of their last album ‘Garden of Love’ which attracted over 20 million streams and included the hits ‘Last Dance’ and ‘Sunken’ with new long player ‘Nox Anima’. ‘Des Choses’ is the second single from the album; it features French singer Yelle and appears here in remix form courtesy of Maelstrom.
The original has layers of synthetic violins, epic slow trap beats and synthesiser ritornello that explodes into a shiver-inducing space and love odyssey. It is sung in French by Yelle’s divine and melancholy voice with lyrics that are a direct and powerful call.
French DJ, composer, electronic music producer and researcher Maelstrom remixes the dark, synthetic pop track and transforms it into a 7-minute electronic adventure. It is rich in atmospheric soundscapes from which Yelle’s vocals emerge to make a lasting emotional impact.
