Turkish-born producer and DJ Mahmut Orhan is no stranger to a multi-million streaming record that ripples across the world at a staggering pace through every medium. His biggest hit so far ‘Feel’ (released 2016) has amassed an immense 500 million+ combined streams across streaming platforms and YouTube. This has seen the record capture top ten chart spots in Greece, Luxembourg and Poland, with top 100 spots in Turkey, Germany and Romania.

Following this up the Turkish talent released 6 Days (released 2018), a collaboration with Colonel Bagshot which also skyrocketed into the top 100 charts of many countries. Moreover, the single further built on Orhan’s success securing number 1’s in Turkey, Greece, Romania and Serbia. With consistent accolades building it wasn’t long before top tier press outlets came knocking. Mahmut was subsequently featured in GQ Turkey’s men of the year awards as the DJ of the year 2017, mincing with the biggest and best talent from his home nation. He has since become a regular fixture in publications such as billboard, Dancing Astronaut and many others.
Recently Mahmut Orhan collaborated with the ever-ascending pop-juggernauts SOFI TUKKER on ‘Forgive Me’ which featured in their massively successful WET TENNIS album which continues to be prominent, disseminating across the world. No stranger to working with the duo, he also remixed their hit ‘Swing’ which realised commercial success and amassed over 12 Million streams respectively.
The newest instalment is a collaboration with talented and rising Istanbul-born and UK-raised singer-songwriter-performer Selin, known for her frequent blending of Turkish and English in her own songs, which she brilliantly contributes with her vocals and English lyrical skills in Dönmem Ben Sana. Having previously worked with Mahmut Orhan before on their massive single ‘In Control’ (6.8 Million Streams), the combination of their styles is a tried and tested formula. The latest offering promises to be a cross border hit which will capture the imagination of listeners across the world.
On the new record with Selin, Mahmut Orhan says “ this song was the best thing about the covid-19 pandemic period. ‘In control’ was just out, which was another single with Selin, and we had been doing jam sessions in studio together and then came the question; why didn’t we work on a Turkish/English track? Then we started trying songs and suddenly felt in love with Donmem Ben Sana. So it has actually been a very long journey till the beginning to this release. This is also what makes it an enormous excitement. This song will not only make you want to dance but Selin’s vocals will literally take you places you’ve never been before”.
2022 is proving to be an incredibly exciting year as Mahmut lines up multiple releases to close out the year after a jam packed summer. He will soon play KRK in Croatia on the 15th July, as well as upcoming gigs in Mykonos (Greece), Deep in Forrest Festival (Romania) and Imperium Festival (Bosnia Herzegovina)!
