Maltese DJ and producer Edd has been DJing for a decade, breaking through with his ‘Neon Tokyo EP’ on Trick in 2021, and picked out by BBC Radio 1 as a future dance star back at the start of 2022. This summer he plays for the likes of ANTS in Ibiza and keeps up the momentum after releases on Hottrax, Positiva, and the enormous ‘Mama Used To Say’ on Three Six Zero, which was included in the official soundtrack for FIFA 23, with this standout new single on Patrick Topping’s imprint.
The steamy ‘MLA’ is doused in Maltese sun, with warming chords beaming down over a sunny house vocal and lush string melodies. It’s a bright, feel-good tune with irresistible hooks and the sort of uplifting energy that is going to be huge on open-air dance floors this summer.
