Berlin’s euphoric, genre-blurring producer links with the multi-platinum vocalist for an emotionally charged club cut laced with speed garage energy and rave euphoria.

Los Angeles, CA – Friday, May 29 – Berlin-based producer MALUGI arrives on Insomniac Records with his debut single for the label, “Honestly” ft. Sam Harper, a high-energy house anthem balancing emotional candor with undeniable dancefloor momentum. Recruiting the vocal prowess of London’s multi-platinum singer-songwriter Sam Harper, the release channels MALUGI’s unmistakable spirit—equal parts euphoric, cheeky, and explosively fun—while spotlighting his growing affinity for UK club textures.

Lovingly dubbed the “Happiest Man in Dance Music” by fans, MALUGI has become one of dance music’s most exciting breakout names, building a devoted following through his bubbly, high-octane productions that blur the lines between hardgroove, trance, hardcore, techno, breakbeat, and ’90s rave nostalgia. On “Honestly,” he pivots toward a UK-leaning sound palette, threading speed garage grooves, warping synth stabs, and bleep-fueled basslines beneath Harper’s emotionally bruised vocal performance.

Driven by fast-paced drum shuffles and squelching call-and-response production, the track captures the sting of fleeting romance without sacrificing peak-time energy. Harper’s soulful delivery refuses to sugarcoat the aftermath of a fling, turning vulnerability into something irresistibly danceable. The collaboration follows the pair’s recent single “I Feel the Love,” which has amassed more than 738K streams since its release in March.

MALUGI’s rapid ascent continues to position him at the forefront of a new wave of rave revivalists. Having released music alongside artists including Marlon Hoffstadt, Narciss, Confidence Man, and delivered remixes for Chris Lake and Sammy Virji, the Berlin tastemaker has emerged as a standout voice in Europe’s club circuit. Following his selection as one of BBC’s Future Stars of 2025 and a recent BBC Radio 1 residency, he is currently in the midst of his debut Hardcore Happiness headline run across Europe before embarking on an 11-date North and South America tour, including appearances at EDC Las Vegas 2026, Knockdown Center, and a support slot for Disclosure at Club Space.

One of dance music’s most sought-after writer-vocalists, Sam Harper brings an extensive track record spanning club, pop, and K-pop. She first broke through as part of Dopamine, co-writing and featuring on the Brit Award–nominated hit “Friday,” which reached 15x platinum worldwide and cracked the UK Top 40. Harper has also collaborated with artists including ALOK, Rita Ora, Faithless, and David Guetta, while earning writing credits for BTS, underscoring her versatility across global dance and pop landscapes.
