Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have released their new album MAN WITH A “REMIX” MISSION today (May 13th).
The album features remixes of MAN WITH A MISSION’s hit singles created by famous producers from Japan and overseas. The album also incudes a brand new version of their tearaway single ‘FLY AGAIN’, with ‘FLY AGAIN -Hero’s Anthem-’ by Kei Kusama, which has also been the official theme song for Japan’s Sunwolves Super Rugby team this year.
MAN WITH A “REMIX” MISSION features the likes of breakbeat remixes of ‘Take Me Under’ by Takeshi Ueda and ‘Dead End in Tokyo’ by Jagz Kooner, while Ken Ishii puts a bright techno touch on ‘Memories’. Slushii twists ‘My Hero’ with dark bass heavy EDM, while Takkyu Ishino delivers a twitching acid mix of ‘Raise your flag’.
There is also bright EDM on Kuske & Colin Brittain’s take on ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ and ‘Bubble of Life’ by DJ KENTARO, along with trance-infused dubstep on ‘FLY AGAIN’ by DJ MAAR and frenzied jungle with ‘distance’ from DJ STARSCREAM.
MAN WITH A “REMIX” MISSION is the second in a trilogy of full-length records to be released in celebration of the band’s 10th anniversary, and follows the release of the album MAN WITH A “B-SIDES & COVERS” MISSION earlier this year.
MAN WITH A “B-SIDES & COVERS” MISSION went straight in at No.1 in Japan and make global history as the first ever album of B-sides to top an album chart. More news on the third album in the series will be revealed soon.
