The Italian producer brings fierce techno-funk bass and a darker, groove-led drive to the label’s 2010 original.

Secret Weapon Records revisits another early catalogue cut with Marco Passarani’s new remix of Nick Da Cruz‘s “Phosphor“. Originally released in 2010, the track was built around hypnotic percussion, subtle grooves and an understated sense of tension. Passarani preserves that core while reframing it for a new moment on the dancefloor.

At the centre of the remix is a fierce, infectious bassline. Elements of the original’s percussion move through a darker, groove-led framework as rich synth textures and understated melodies gradually unfold. The result is playful and driving, with a warm, futuristic character that stays connected to the original’s hypnotic spirit.

The release continues Secret Weapon Records’ effort to reconnect its archive with contemporary club music. Reignited by Greta Levska and the team behind Get Physical Music, the label is inviting new generations of artists to reinterpret its underground legacy.
