Tom Marshall, AKA Marsh, finally unveils his long-awaited third artist album ‘Endless’. Out today, the album features 11 originals, including lush melodic moments like ‘Pneuma’ and rave-ready heaters like ‘Fall To Pieces’ and ‘Reminiscent’; as well as ‘Touch The Sky’, his collaboration with fellow Anjuna label star, Simon Doty.
A self-confessed Anjuna “fanboy’” Tom has been on a momentous journey with Anjunadeep, first appearing on our Explorations 07 compilation EP with single ‘Black Mountain’. Since then, he has become a firm fan favourite with both his collaborations like ‘Come Together’, and his solo works, including of course, 2020 album ‘Lailonie’. Tom isn’t just a fan of the label, however, but of his fellow Anjuna artists…
“I have my theories about why everyone that signs to, and releases on, Anjunadeep is just lovely… I think it’s because we’re releasing quite soulful, emotionally-driven melodic music. It attracts a nice group of people, I think, in my biased opinion”
Tom’s new album ‘Endless’ is full of these soulful, emotionally-driven musical moments, and was inspired by a life on the road, pondering life’s mysteries like “what is truly home”, and “how am I going to maximise my time here on Earth?”
However, as a perfect contrast to these emotive downtempo tracks, Tom also infuses the album with the sounds of his youth, from Mauro Picotto’s ‘womp’ bass, to Andy C’s high-energy drum & bass, to the genre-bending 2005 Pendulum album ‘Hold Your Colour’. “I’d love to just be a fly on the wall with Rob Swire, watching him in his studio, just doing his thing. I’ve seen Pendulum twice, and I would gladly do it every night of the week.”
While this album has a great deal of different influences and sounds on offer, ‘Endless’ never feels fragmented, (pun not intended), and is united perfectly by Tom’s signature, soulful style. We are very pleased to finally share this album with you, and hope you enjoy it as much as we here at Anjuna HQ do.
