Following the momentum of a breakout year, Toronto-based artist MARTA returns with her latest release, “Kick Back,” a bold and empowering new record with New York City’s rapidly rising artist Eve Lauren. Arriving July 10th via TSZR, the record brings together two emerging female forces in dance music for a cross-border collaboration that feels both timely and authentic.
Born from a creative connection that began last year, “Kick Back” seamlessly blends MARTA’s Toronto roots with Eve Lauren’s underground New York energy. The result is a confident club record that lives at the intersection of indie dance and tech house.
As dance music continues to be shaped by strong female voices, a new wave of female-driven records is creating greater visibility for women throughout electronic music. “Kick Back” taps directly into that movement through its unapologetic message of self-confidence, empowerment, and rejecting fake energy.
‘We’re so excited to finally share Kick Back with you guys. This one came together really naturally after Eve and I connected last year and realized how much we vibed with each other’s sound and energy. She’s based in New York, and I’m in Toronto, so this track is a cross-city blend of both our worlds coming together. We wanted to create something that sits between indie dance and tech house, with a bit of techno influence, but still feels fun, confident, and made for the dance floor. At its core, the track is all about stepping into your power and not tolerating fake energy. It’s a little bold, a little unapologetic, and very much rooted in female energy and confidence.’ MARTA & Eve Lauren
The collaboration arrives as both artists continue to build momentum. MARTA’s recent releases “The Heat” and “Keep Moving” have earned support from Tech House Operator, All Day Dance, Bangers, Fresh Finds, and Mint Canada, with “Keep Moving” surpassing 400,000 streams. Recognized by Beatport and Dancing Astronaut as an Artist to Watch, MARTA continues her rapid ascent.
Meanwhile, Eve Lauren’s recent single “Insane” charted on Beatport and earned support from Women of Electronic, All New Dance, and Tech House Operator, while performances alongside Martin Garrix, Westend, Chris Lorenzo, Cloonee, and Gorgon City highlight her undeniable place as one of dance music’s up and coming stars.
Beyond its musical identity, “Kick Back” reflects the growing global connectivity of electronic music and highlights the power of female artists building across borders and scenes, the record feels both authentic and perfectly timed.
“Kick Back” drops July 10th on TSZR and will be available on all streaming platforms.
