Matroda Adds His Signature Touch to Tiga and Audion’s Classic Club Anthem “Let’s Go Dancing” With Weighty Remix on Insomniac Records

The heavyweight house producer delivers a peak-time rework of the iconic dance classic.

Tiga and Audion’s “Let’s Go Dancing” towers as one of the most recognizable underground club anthems from the past decade. Originally released in 2013 on the former’s Turbo Recordings imprint, the now-classic track effortlessly fuses electroclash edge with trippy, hypnotic techno sensibilities. It’s the very definition of a dancefloor staple and is ripe for reinvention in 2024. Croatian powerhouse Matroda steps up for the challenge with his thunderous take, which has earned the approval from Tiga himself, resulting in an official remix on Insomniac Records

Rising to the Herculean task of giving “Let’s Go Dancing” a modern facelift, Matroda works his magic to prep the track for contemporary club play. His version showcases Tiga’s instantly recognizable vocal hook in all its glory. Initially, it’s revealed with a degree of restraint, as the energy percolates with a foreboding crescendo and rolling arps. “Let’s go dancing // I wanna go dancing with you, all night dancing.” Simple yet oh-so-effective, this instigating mantra gets the full-torque treatment with thumping kick drums and snappy snares providing the backbone for pulse-racing low-end licks and modulating leads.

Matroda succinctly points towards the impressive seal-of-approval that his rework earned from the enigmatic Turbo label-head Tiga

“Long story short: I made an edit with the famous ‘Let’s go Dancing’ vocal for my Fall tour,” he recounts. “Somehow, Tiga heard the record, and he liked it. The rest is history.”

Club anthems that transcend the ephemeral nature of dancefloor hedonism proved rare over the past decade; though, “Let’s Go Dancing” is a certified classic that stood the test of time. Featuring the unbeatable duo of Canadian king-of-cool Tiga alongside US icon Matthew Dear (producing under his long-running tougher techno alias Audion), the track was released in 2013 to thoroughly dominate that year’s Ibiza season. Remixes, bootlegs and samples have run rampant ever since, representing an elusive example of a crossover anthem embraced in ubiquity by the techno faithful in sweaty nightclubs in every corner of the globe.

Matroda launches into 2024 from his most ambitious year to date. He’s still buzzing from the success of his worldwide fall tour in the closing months of 2023. The run of dates included a sold-out headline night at the Hollywood Palladium, as well as a slammed performance at Club Space in Miami, and festival stops at Insomniac’s Escape Halloween and a mainstage performance at Countdown NYE. His calendar is already booked with nonstop headline dates, slated to touch down at The Vanguard, The Ground Miami, The Gorge, Time Night Club, and many more.

He remains one of the leading artists on Insomniac Records. His most recent single with the imprint “No Sleep (6AM)” was only one of several massive releases last year, which also included “Saturday Love” alongside Dino DZ, and “Throw Your Hands,” which amassed 4.5 and 1.3 million streams, respectively.

With his “Let’s Go Dancing” remix, Matroda shares a piece of house music history with a whole new generation of ravers, revelvers and festival-goers.

Matroda’s new remix of Tiga and Audion’s “Let’s Go Dancing” is available on all platforms via Insomniac Records.
