Taken from new ‘Seasons (Remixes) EP due 13th October via Kitsuné Musique
Rising Parisian DJ / producer MATVEÏ returns with a thumping bass-laden remix of ‘GIVE IT BACK’, brought to life by fellow countryman and producer ASDEK, lifted from the forthcoming ‘Seasons (Remixes)’ EP out this October through Kitsuné Musique.
ASDEK says: “I’ve been in love with Matveï’s production since the beginning of his project, and I’m very happy to work on one of his tunes. I tried to keep his ‘world music’ spirit and bring my electronic vibe to it, to create a futuristic house track, mixing arpeggios and bass music.” Matveï, on his reaction to ASDEK’s remix of “GIVE IT BACK,” stated that he “…loves this remix, the powerful chord progressions ASDEK went for are beautiful.”
Lauded as the new generation of French electronic talent in his native country, Matveï’s trajectory is on the rise. Since his first EP, Matveï has amassed millions of streams on Spotify, seeing his music added on playlists like metropolis, Fresh Finds: Basement, and Deephouse Delight. Having been brought up on a steady diet of French hip-hop, house, and bass, the producer blends an exciting cocktail of house and urban club sounds, drawing inspiration from Kaytranada, Disclosure, Metro Boomin, Baauer and Sam Gellaitry.
Back in June, Matveï marked the completion of his year-long seasonal EP series with the release of SPRING: POOLSIDE x LAGOON, building off of the bossa nova and samba themes established on the SUMMER COLLECTION, incorporating the club-oriented approach heard on FALL: OVERDOSE x RUMBA, and ties together the powerful melodies from WINTER COLLECTION, creating an array of sounds for all seasons.
ASDEK is a musical project created in Montpellier, France. Highly influenced by club sounds, the young Parisian plays on UK House, Bass House, Hip-Hop, and Techno beats to create a distinctive sound that’s authentically fresh. Driven to merge these musical influences in new ways, ASDEK has released with several trending labels: Confession, Barong Family and Insomniac. He also got support from many stars like DJ Snake, Oliver Heldens, Tchami, Malaa, Jauz, Habstrakt and many more. He has also seen success playing stages across Europe—from Lollapalooza Paris and Southern Dock in Marseille, to closing out the last set ever at the infamous Parisian hotspot, Showcase.
