Renowned for their ability to create chart-toppling house tracks, it’s safe to say Maur knows their way around a hit record. “Dance Machine, though, shows the UK duo veering into the sharper-edges of their club repertoire. For their debut on IN / ROTATION, they deliver a crowd-pleasing tech house groove that channels inspiration from the electro house movement from the turn of the millennium. It builds around catchy, unadulterated robotic vocal loops, which repeat relentlessly across modulating saw leads, industrial undertones, sustained string pads, intermittent beeps & bloops, and pointed percussive patterns.

Touching on the sonic direction they’ve taken for their new single, Maur shares: “‘Dance Machine’ pushes deeper into the electro realm that we started exploring at the end of 2024. It has an industrial feel to it, taking us back to the raw electro house sound of the early ‘00s. This one has been one of the biggest IDs from our sets of the past few months.”

Hailing from London, Maur is a producer duo that can seemingly do no wrong within the realm of house music, cohesively stretching themselves across a slew of styles and sounds that fluctuate between crossover and club-ready. The duo has gained recognition from key tastemakers and radio personalities, having recently been touted as ‘Ones To Watch’ by BBC Radio 1 all-star tastemakers Sarah Story, Danny Howard, and Pete Tong. With multiple #1 singles under their belt, Maur has collaborated with notable names in dance music, including Goodboys, Westend, Joanna Cooke, Solardo, Dave Spoon, and Simon Doty. Looking ahead, they have an upcoming performance at Magic Stick in Detroit with KC Lights, on the back of their debut US and Canada Tour earlier this year.

With “Dance Machine,” Maur continues to define house music for the future generation, blending modern tech house with classic electro elements. It’s a sound they’ve been cornering in recent memory, and it’s no wonder why their new single has been a secret weapon from their sets lately.

Maur’s new single “Dance Machine” is available on all platforms via IN / ROTATION Records.
