Melvin Spix and TimeKube reunite for their debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD with the ‘1001’ EP, releasing 24th April 2026. Based near Maastricht, Spix leans into rolling, propulsive rhythms and has been picking up steady support from key figures across the scene, while the Los Angeles-based TimeKube draws on transatlantic influences, folding rave-rooted synth work into forward-facing productions. Regular collaborators as well as accomplished solo artists, the pair have previously linked on labels including Unity Records, continuing on Moudaber’s flagship InTheMood label with a refined joint sound that balances studio precision with club-ready weight.
The title track, ‘1001’, sets the tone with a stripped-back yet highly effective approach, built around rolling drums and smoky, textural synth work. Metallic, industrial fragments scatter across the groove, conjuring a raw, warehouse energy. ‘9009’ follows with a darker, more driving edge, layering tight, stacked drums with urgent synth motifs that steadily intensify, pushing the track forward with a rising, euphoric momentum.
