Following several years spent developing his house-led sound, MelyJones makes his Hottrax debut alongside LOVRA with ‘Feel So High’, with the pair landing on Jamie Jones’ label on 16th October. The collaboration brings the Swiss talent together with the Berlin-based DJ, producer and HOUSECAT founder for the first time, whose own productions draw on the energy of ’90s club music alongside a contemporary house sensibility.
‘Feel So High’ has an immediate lift to it, pairing nimble, energetic rhythms with a vocal that gives the track its character, while small FX details appear around the groove as it develops. For MelyJones, one element became an unexpected part of that process: “There was one sound in the track that I kept trying to remove. Every time I did, though, the track felt empty, so eventually I realised that the sound I was trying to get rid of was actually one of the most important parts.”
On the flip, MelyJones then goes solo for ‘Racks On Me’, moving with a heavier rolling groove and fragmented vocal phrases that give it a different kind of feel. A year living in London helped shape MelyJones’ current musical direction when he turned his focus fully to house in 2023, with his productions since earning support from the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Franky Rizardo and Paco Osuna. Meanwhile, LOVRA has built her own identity through statement sets and releases on Club Sweat, Repopulate Mars and IN / ROTATION, while taking HOUSECAT to venues and festival stages across Germany and beyond.
MelyJones & LOVRA ‘Feel So High’ drops via Hottrax on 16th October 2026.
