Michael Bibi is back with a brand new single, ‘Front & Back Seat’. The new single follows May’s ‘Sungazing’. That track had been the Solid Grooves founder’s first since 2023’s ‘Different Side’, which arrived shortly before Bibi was forced to press pause on his career due to being diagnosed with CNS lymphoma, a rare form of cancer that attacks the brain and spine. In December that year, after making a surprise a appearance at Solid Grooves Ibiza closing party at DC-10 in September, Bibi shared the news that he was officially cancer free.
Amidst a busy summer of One Life shows, ‘Front & Back Seat’ feels suitably celebratory, building on his signature percussion style with some weighty tech house elements and ear-catching vocals.
The inaugural edition of One Life kicked off last summer at London’s Finsbury Park. The event raised over £120,000 for The Royal Marsden charity and boosted awareness of the need for stem cell donors. The second London edition of One Life took place on 5th July this year at Silverworks Island where he shared the stage with Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Blond:ish, Ben Sterling, Chris Stussy and more.
In May, Bibi surprised ravers with a set at Beachouse Ibiza that raised €56,021 for an Ibiza cancer charity.
