Esteemed French electronic producer Michael Canitrot has just announced the next date of his pioneering Monumental Tour. Taking the ground-breaking concept to Paris for the first time, Canitrot will be hosting an exclusive show at the city’s breath-taking Palais Royal on Thursday 12th May.
Testament to Michael’s standing in the French music scene, to celebrate the French Presidency of the European Union, the French Ministry of Culture has chosen to partner with Michael to offer an exceptional show in the City of Light’s stunning landmark. Located in the heart of Paris, facing the iconic Louvres, the jaw-dropping venue will make the perfect location for Canitrot’s next live show.
An intimate gig with just 2000 guests, Michael will also be using his platform to champion young talent and opening the stage to other artists. Representing his home country, Canitrot has invited French female producer AMS to play as well as Germany’s Einmusik – a nod to the country that previously held the presidency of the European Union.
First conceived back in 2020, with the vision of uniting generations through cultural heritage and contemporary art, Canitrot has created the hugely successful Monumental concerts. Designed to celebrate historical buildings and showcase architecture in a new and imaginative light that makes it accessible and interesting to the younger generation, and showcasing the importance of preserving these sites, Michael has already lit up a series of monuments across France. From the Château de Vincenne’s rooftop to the almighty Mont Saint-Michel abbey, each of these performances have been captured in stunning detail and broadcast across the globe, earning the talented Frenchman millions of views worldwide. With the upcoming Paris date set to be the eighth event in the series – and arguably the most ‘momentous’ to date, true to form Michael will be bringing together magnificent set designs with dazzling video projections, luminous scenography and spellbinding set to create another mind-blowing audiovisual experience.
