Premiere

Midas Field returns to PIV with ‘That’s Right’, a four-track EP drawing on the soulful, rhythmic side of house music.

With a sound influenced by the musicality of names such as Dam Swindle and Kerri Chandler, coupled with his own instinctive approach to house music, Dutch talent Midas Field has quickly gained traction as an artist to watch. His tracks tend to move between ideas rather than settle into one formula, with funky keys, percussive rhythms, acid touches, and soulful elements all finding their way into the mix. Releases on Nervous, Pakate and Range have established the foundations, while his work with PIV has continued to develop that sound across a growing catalogue.

That same balance runs through his third appearance on the label, as he delivers ‘That’s Right’. The title track is a silky opener, fusing warm chords and vibrant keys, with the arrangement gradually adding weight around its central groove. ‘Ewaya’ featuring Jay Latune and Milan Fernandes takes another hazy turn, pairing a loose rhythmic feel with soulful instrumentation and a dubby groove that leaves plenty of room for the vocal. On the B-side, ‘Respirando’ blossoms into vibrant spheres, built around a hypnotic groove and measured percussion, while ‘Believe In Me’ brings a skippy, swinging groove to the mix, carrying that warmth through to the EP’s final moments as it gradually drifts into the setting sun.

Midas Field ‘That’s Right’ drops via PIV Records on 28th August 2026.
