Modern Delivery Xpress continues to shape its early identity as Jay Crusoe returns for his third release on the imprint with ‘Clubwalker’. Arriving as the label’s sixth release, the record underscores the growing connection between artist and label, both evolving in step as the MDX sound continues to take shape. On ‘Clubwalker’, Crusoe links up with Atlanta-based duo G00DELL, a new collaborative project that is coming into focus with a sound rooted in groove and club functionality. The result is a stripped-back, rolling cut built for movement across both intimate club spaces and larger festival stages, balancing subtle detail with a direct, forward-driving energy.
Tampa-born, now Los Angeles-based, Crusoe has been present throughout the early stages of Modern Delivery Xpress, following his previous releases, ‘Mainframe’ and his ‘Mysterious Happenings’ EP. Across those releases, his sound has found love and support from artists including Fisher, Chris Lake, Adam Beyer, Mau P, Gorgon City, and others. ‘Mainframe’ also reached #17 on the Beatport MinimalDeep Tech charts, with the EP breaking into the Top 100, marking a clear step forward in his trajectory. From the label side, Modern Delivery Xpress continues to refine its direction as a club-focused extension of Modern Delivery, built around precision, functionality, and records designed to travel. Crusoe has been one of the most consistent presences in that early run, with his releases closely aligned with the label’s development and helping shape its identity from the ground up rather than in isolation.
