Mölly returns with another deeply emotive chapter for her debut album ‘22’

As anticipation builds for her debut album ‘22’, arriving this August, California-based producer mölly returns with another deeply emotive chapter in her evolving story. Teaming up with British melodic house favourite OCULA and acclaimed singer-songwriter Richard Walters, new single ‘feeling something’ arrives Friday 24th July on Colorize, continuing the emotionally rich narrative that has become the hallmark of her music.

“feeling something came together at the very beginning of the album process,” mölly explains. “Richard and I wrote and recorded it together in London, and there was something really raw and honest about that session. I was stuck with the production for a while, and when I sent it to Brad, he opened it up in a way that made me fall in love with the song again. Working with both Richard and OCULA on the same record was honestly such a dream.”

mölly has carved out a distinctive space within melodic electronic music through productions that balance organic textures, cinematic soundscapes and deeply personal storytelling. Following recent singles including ‘edges’ with FARLEY, and ‘transmission’ with Mees Salomé, ‘feeling something’ further explores themes of vulnerability, presence and divine connection, offering another glimpse into the world that culminates with her forthcoming debut album ‘22’.

Built around shimmering synths, warm analogue textures and an incredibly powerful vocal performance from Richard Walters, ‘feeling something’ gradually blooms into an uplifting melodic house anthem, a collaboration that perfectly aligns three artists whose music consistently prioritises emotion over excess.

Joining mölly is British DJ and producer OCULA, one of melodic house’s most respected and sought-after names. Renowned for his cinematic productions and atmospheric songwriting, OCULA first gained international recognition through releases on deadmau5’s mau5trap before becoming a core artist on Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint. With more than 75 million streams across his catalogue and releases spanning Colorize, Armada, Anjunabeats and Spinnin’ Deep, his signature blend of uplifting melodies and emotional depth has established him as one of the genre’s defining artists.

On vocal duties, Richard Walters brings a wealth of artistry and experience. The Oxford-born singer-songwriter has spent over a decade building an acclaimed catalogue across indie pop and electronica, alongside collaborations with Bernard Butler, Noel Hogan, Guy Sigsworth and Alison Moyet. His unmistakable voice has also soundtracked numerous television series including ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Criminal Minds’, ‘Station 19’ and ‘Bones’.

For mölly, music has always been a way of making sense of the human experience. Drawing from years of yoga, meditation, and self-inquiry, she approaches her production as a process of exploration, allowing emotion, intuition, and lived experience to guide the work.

Having only begun releasing music in July 2024, her ascent has been remarkable, building a global audience drawn to the emotional honesty and human depth at the heart of her work. She has amassed more than 20 million Spotify streams, including over 4 million for her breakthrough debut single ‘Here Again’ and a further 5 million across her debut EP ‘Rushing In’.

Support has followed from some of electronic music’s most respected names, including Nora En Pure, Sultan + Shepard, Above & Beyond and Tritonal, while over 500 spins on SiriusXM Chill have helped introduce her music to listeners worldwide. Along the way, she has shared stages with Lane 8, Kaskade, Tiësto, Christian Löffler, Forester and Mees Salomé, performing across North America, Europe and Asia at events including Dreamstate, We Belong Here Miami, Elsewhere New York and Amsterdam Dance Event.

Where ‘the art of letting go’ explored acceptance and healing, and ‘edges’ embraced love and vulnerability, ‘feeling something’ deepens that journey, celebrating the courage it takes to remain open to life’s most meaningful experiences.

As the final pieces of the puzzle fall into place ahead of ‘22’, ‘feeling something’ offers another compelling preview of an artist whose rise has been both rapid and deeply intentional. Thoughtfully crafted, emotionally resonant and brought to life by three exceptional collaborators, the single reinforces mölly’s growing reputation as one of melodic electronic music’s most exciting new voices.
