Maalouf is a Grammy-nominated trumpeter, producer, arranger, and composer who has worked with everyone from Sting to Vanessa Paradis and Salif Keita. He has released several albums since 2007 and plays live across the world. ‘Will Soon Be a Woman’ is an enchanting instrumental from his 2011 Diagnostic album.
Moog Diez is a musician and producer who creates at the intersection of electronic and Mediterranean sounds. He fuses warm basslines with bouncy drums and a hint of his Baglama Saz, pushing the boundaries of what can be considered house music.
His rework of ‘Will Soon Be A Woman’ preserves the original’s romantic and Mediterranean vibe with a backdrop of dark club energy. Listeners can fixate on any single element of the track and get lost dancing or imagining the smell of the Mediterranean sea.
