She has sold out her first ever headline show taking place on 26th May at London’s Courtyard Theatre
After selling out her debut headline show, breakout star MORGAN continues her hot streak with her infectious new single ‘In My Feelings’, out now on Major Tom’s Records.
Opening with a delicate piano melody and progressing into a smooth, downbeat production, ‘In My Feelings’ is a heartbreaking ballad that showcases the strength in MORGAN’s songwriting abilities, while her gorgeous vocals float over the melancholic beat. It precedes her first ever sold-out headline show, set to take place at London’s Courtyard Theatre on 26th May.
Speaking on the track, MORGAN muses, “I wrote ‘In My Feelings’ about a toxic relationship I fell into where I fell in love with somebody that I shouldn’t have. I think everyone can relate to that feeling – knowing you’re getting yourself into a situation that wont end well – you’re head is being rational but your heart completely takes over. This is one of the zoom sessions I did throughout lockdown where I was super proud of what I had written – it probably helped that I wrote it with two good friends Sakima and Kurisu. I love everything about this song especially minimalist melodies – I’m super proud of it.”
In prolific form of late, ‘In My Feelings’ follows MORGAN’s recent single ‘You’re Worth It’, which was named ‘Record of the Week’ by Ace on BBC Radio 1Xtra and received additional support from DJ Target on the same platform.
Before this, there was hit single ‘ADCT’, a track that MORGAN re-released late last year after going viral on TikTok. It has since racked up 5.2 million Spotify streams and was playlisted by BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Capital Xtra respectively. The song also received support across Apple Music, as well as on BBC Radio 1 from Jack Saunders, Clara Amfo and Victoria Jane.
Prior to that were singles ‘Nobody Else’, featuring London rapper Kasien, and ‘Behave’, a drill-tinged collaboration with fellow rising artist Jevon. The latter was hailed as the BBC Radio 1Xtra ‘Record Of The Week’ by Ace, and received additional support from BBC Radio 1, No Signal, Capital FM, Apple Music 1 and BBC Sounds.
Just 22-years-old, MORGAN burst onto the scene in 2019 when she signed to Rudimental’s Major Tom’s label and featured on their track ‘Mean That Much’ alongside Preditah. A whirlwind couple of years since has seen her drop debut EP ‘Alien’, perform three times on the BBC Live Lounge and feature on the Rudimental smash ‘Be The One’ alongside Digga D, a single that has over 21 million Spotify streams and counting.
Continuing to release a steady stream of acclaimed singles, ‘In My Feelings’ finds MORGAN at her most vulnerable.
