A foreboding entry into his forthcoming Shadows EP, MYTHM has made his mark with his HypnoVizion debut. Dark and devious, ‘Bloodhound’ unfolds with spine-tingling basslines and chilling percussive hits. Sampling quotes from Reservoir Dogs, MYTHM plays into the title’s canine theme by topping the track with echoing barks. ‘Bloodhound’ is an enticing introduction to the mischievous nature and ghastly sounds of MYTHM’s upcoming EP.
“The EP single ‘Bloodhound’ was centered around the pre-drop vocal: “Are you going to bark all day?”, a memorable quote from Reservoir Dogs. I wanted to create a more rough and rugged vibe with the bassline on this one and I sprinkled dog barks throughout to keep the name of the track on the listener’s mind while they were listening.” – MYTHM
Vancouver-based dubstep producer MYTHM (a.k.a Mikey Miele) is quickly becoming a talent to watch with his experimental sound and cross-genre approach.
