New Zealand folk-pop artist Bryony Matthews shares new single ‘Thinking Of You’

After returning earlier this year to deliver her highly-praised offerings ‘Yellow Flowers’ and ‘Here We Are’, New Zealand-based singer-songwriter Bryony Matthews has now emerged once again to unveil her mesmerising new delight ‘Thinking Of You’.

Continuing the same warm and sparkling folk-pop direction she has cultivated for herself, ‘Thinking Of You’ makes for a wonderfully rich and captivating listen. With her sweet and lofty voice layered amongst a sweeping electronic production, she has looked to broaden her sound and aesthetic with this kaleidoscopic new gem.

Speaking about the new release, she said, “Thinking Of You is a sweet, catchy tune written from a deeper place of unrequited love. Simple in structure, this song captures beautifully the essence of loneliness and longing. The electronic instrumentation and use of different sounds alongside simple melodies on acoustic instruments brings this song into its full self.”

Bryony Matthews is a New Zealand-based alt folk-pop singer-songwriter who writes unique, considered, and lyrically-focused music with instrumentation that lends an upbeat ambience to her songs.

Following on from her debut album ‘Little Queen’, which was released in early 2017, this year has seen the release of three new singles, most recently being ‘Here We Are’ in July, which was recorded with Ryan Fisherman and produced by Josh Holmes aka Junus Orca. Bryony has been writing and evolving as an artist and will be releasing her second album later this year.
