Following releases on Kaluki Musik and Bamboleo, Manchester’s Calvin Clarke has picked up support from Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati and Jamie Jones, to name a few. Recently becoming a resident at Music on, Calvin has also found himself playing sets at the likes of Parklife, Fabric, Elrow and many more.
For the artist’s first release on Hottrax, Calvin delivers a grooving two-tracker for Jamie Jones’ label. ‘Crazy High’ marries bumping low-end and subtle synthesis amongst rolling percussion and vocal slices, while ‘Apollo’ brings tweaked-out leads and wonky FX to round out the release.
