You look so bad with your Louis V and plaid,
They hate your ass cause you just got paid,
Rich dad, heart tatts, does it ever get you sad,
That your life’s a wreck and all your friends fake?
Fake light-heartedly pokes fun at the excess and posturing that is present in today’s society, and arrives with a full Metaverse-like visual with playful jabs at the scene featuring a knock-off gallery, a concert world in which the crowd glitches out, and a date gone wrong when they each realize they’ve only got half a body + much more!. Welcome to the FAKEVERSE.
As he effortlessly crosses genres from pop to house to hip-hop, Imanbek showcases yet another example of his ability to read the room with Fake, with a good-natured, light-hearted bit of fun that is sure to get people talking. He will debut the song live at his show at Exchange Los Angeles this coming January 14, with Brando joining him on stage to call out the haters. Be there or be fake.
Having miraculously broken all possible charts with his multi-platinum Roses Remix, Imanbek (born Imanbek Zeikenov) hails from Kazakhstan province town Aksu and despite his young age of 20 has already changed the history of popular music. He became the first Eastern European musician to enter the top 5 of US Billboard HOT 100 peaking at #4. SAINt JHN’s single ‘Roses’ remixed by Imanbek had commenced as an unofficial upload to YouTube and then he was signed by indie label Effective Records in 2019.
Imanbek won The Grammy in ‘The best remixed record’ nomination. By this time ‘Roses’ has struck 1,6 billion streams on Spotify, entered the official Top20 most Shazammed songs all time and the unofficial Top100 most streamed Spotify songs all time, topping literally every country’s charts including #1 official single charts in the UK besides staying 13 consecutive weeks as #1 global Shazam top 100 setting proper record of the year and being named Track of Summer 2020 by all musical magazines and authorities.
Later Imanbek proved he was not a one-hit wonder. His enormous collaboration roster gathered hundreds of millions streams in total, working with American R’n’B star Usher, Canadian,Tory Lanez, Jamaican dancehall star Sean Paul, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Grammy awarded Afrojack, Martin Jensen, VIZE, Zara Larsson, Trevor Daniel, Goodboys, Fetty Wap, Wiz Khalifa, Alan Walker, Rita Ora and many others.
Few people have been able to achieve global success so early on in their careers, but L.A.’s Brando has never been one to color inside the lines. Drawing inspiration from the numerous musical influences he indulged in throughout his formative years, the California native was a major force behind Canadian duo Loud Luxury’s multi-million-stream wonder ‘Body’. He immediately showed the world his unique talents as the singer and songwriter on the record and has since collaborated with artists such as Don Diablo and Matoma whilst also giving life to his own scintillating singles.
The success of recent single ‘Look Into My Eyes’ perfectly illustrates it all. The record spent ten weeks on #1 in Australia’s airplay chart (dethroning The Weeknd ‘Blinding Lights’ as most-played song of the year), entered the Spotify Top 200 in Australia, Austria, Germany, Sweden and New Zealand and clocked up over 40 million streams across the most popular streaming platforms.
