The New York-based artist channels heartbreak, depression, and reinvention into a five-track collection balancing emo, shoegaze, indie rock, and alt-pop catharsis
Los Angeles, CA – Friday, May 29 – New York-based musician and multidisciplinary visual artist NOELLE SUCKS returns to Graveboy Records with her deeply personal new EP, Sick Little Star, a five-track body of work tracing the emotional wreckage of heartbreak, mental health struggles, and self-reinvention. Written in the wake of a messy breakup and a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York, the project captures moments of grief, uncertainty, and healing through a lens that feels equally intimate and cinematic, out now via Graveboy Records.
Known for inviting listeners into the messier corners of vulnerability, NOELLE SUCKS has carved out a singular lane at the intersection of emo, shoegaze, indie rock, dance, and alt-pop. A former film student and self-described DIY visual artist, she pairs emotionally raw songwriting with compelling self-made visuals, building immersive worlds around every chapter of personal unraveling and growth.
Serving as the emotional capstone to the EP, closing track “2nd Guesser” crystallizes the project’s central tension: the exhausting cycle of overthinking, regret, and emotional backtracking. Floating between bedroom pop intimacy and electronic release, the song mirrors an internal tug-of-war through shifting sonic textures—moving from lo-fi acoustic guitar passages into buoyant electronic production marked by fuzzy sine-wave melodies, icy harmonies, and bittersweet momentum. Sweet but aching vocals linger in a state of uncertainty, capturing the feeling of questioning everything after the dust has settled.
The EP also includes her recent single “Clumsy,” alongside a string of lead releases that have earned support from outlets including Ones To Watch, IGGY Magazine, Glasse Factory, and Get Some Magazine, helping solidify NOELLE SUCKS as an emerging voice within alternative pop’s emotionally candid underground.
Fresh off appearances at multiple stops of last year’s returning Van’s Warped Tour, NOELLE SUCKS continues to cultivate a devoted audience through her confessional songwriting and DIY ethos, turning personal chaos into catharsis with striking honesty and a sharp visual identity.
“2nd Guesser (hardly know ‘er!!!!) combines emo bedroom-pop-electronic genres to pull you into the nostalgic world of my new EP, “Sick Little Star”. With unique DIY visuals for every single, it is the 2nd Noelle Sucks EP on Graveboy Records!” – NOELLE SUCKS
Noelle Sucks effortlessly blends indie, shoegaze, pop, and rock into emotional soundscapes. Born into a musically talented family, Noelle found her own voice after a near-death experience at 13 during a major surgery. From there, her creativity sparked and she started conceptualizing music videos and discovering her love for editing. This passion led her to film school, and ultimately, back to music in her early twenties.
