Mr. Gibbons continues to see Noer the Boy craft a charismatic soundtrack around his squiggly character. Accompanying the previously released titular single ‘Mr. Gibbons’ are two bold new tracks that emphasize Noer the Boy’s proclivity for textured sound design. The EP offers a dynamic array of experimental bass and minimal trap, from the wonky twists and turns of ‘Anuthaone’ to the glitchy breakbeats of ‘Six Six Six’.

“I’m a big fan of concept records. Each of these three tracks represent the nonchalant and unstoppable march of Mr. Gibbons. He’s unaware of his powers and only wants to keep moving and exploring and playing. I take a lot of inspiration from classical marches and this is my attempt to transmute those compositional techniques into electronic bass music. Drawing inspiration from older art forms and infusing it with new approaches is a creative goldmine.” – Noer the Boy

Noer the Boy is part of the vanguard of bass music, a composer wielding punishing distortion and avant-garde composition. From his background in marching band, choir, and video editing grew a fascination with kinetic beats, industrial sounds, and the unrestricted freedom of computer creation. Hailing from the creative crews Liquid Amber and Courteous Family, he’s released on such labels as VISION, Subsidia, and Mass Appeal. Mr. Gibbons arrives ahead of Noer the Boy’s supporting set at Rezz’s CAN YOU SEE ME? show at The Brooklyn Mirage this July.
