Odyssette hits the nail on its head when it comes to bringing back some ‘retro-vibes’. A cyberpunk meets synthwave production, ‘Fluorescence’ is out now via DRRT Records.
Drafting his inspiration from retro-futurism, as well as cinema, technology and space, Odyssette has been making waves around the world and now having joined forces with the London-based Melllo for the vocals, a new dimension has been added to the odyssey.
Fluorescence brings back the retro-nostalgia, with the track’s warm analog synths, dynamic beats and layered melodies. As described by Odyssette, his aim was to “draw you into Odyssette’s universe, a dimension filled with retro futuristic nostalgia where constellations are mapped by synth led melodies and plucked argeggios.”
Recently having done a remix for French songstress Ferielle’s single ‘Grand Écran’, he has paved his way to become the ‘go-to’ for artists looking for a sympathetic yet bold version of their tracks. His latest offering, ‘Fluorescence’ is one of the singles lifted from his upcoming full-length album, slated for release later this year. A sneak peak of what we can expect, Odyssette’s forthcoming LP will take listeners to another dimension as he is heavily inspired by outer space, combining these influences – including some of the most iconic recordings from NASA’s archives – with his passion for music and production. Stay tuned!
