THE ONE, the new EP from Olie Beckett. Writer, producer, singer, musician, performer. Sixteen-year-old Olie does it all, and this project proves he does it better than most people twice his age.THE ONE plays like the best night out of your life. It starts in the shadows with “UNLOCK,” a slow, smoky R&B burner where his voice twists through Middle Eastern-inspired melodies and pulls you right in. Then the bass drops and you’re on the dance floor. “GRAPHIC T-SHIRT” is love at first sight under the strobe lights, and “WIN YOU OVER” is the all-in, hands-up moment with a beat that never lets you catch your breath. “GRAND PRIX” is the getaway, smooth and fast with the windows down, until it floors it at the finish line. By the time “HIGH ON LOVE” rolls in, the night melts into something warm and golden, and his tenor soars over all of it. Five songs, no skips, and you’ll want to run it back the second it ends.
Olie Beckett draws musical inspiration from acclaimed songwriters such as Harry Styles, Sza, and Ariana Grande. Olie started his musical journey singing in church, which quickly evolved into a passion for songwriting and mastering piano. He has received acclaim from Sweety High, Galore, NICK Music, Earmilk and more.

Olie Beckett is a 16-year-old artist with a lifelong love for music. His journey began the moment he heard Marshmello spin and dreamed of becoming a DJ. Growing up in a musical household, with his dad spinning tracks in a radio office and his mom humming melodies around the house, Olie was constantly surrounded by sound. This early exposure sparked his passion for music and ultimately led him to pursue life as a singer-songwriter.
From the start, Olie threw himself into music. He auditioned for a national choir, began vocal training, and started singing at his local church. His vocal teacher, Melissa, brought a background in musical theater that introduced him to the power of dramatic performance. Another key mentor, Mr. B, guided him through music composition and production tools like Logic Pro X. Between Melissa’s theatrical influence and Mr. B’s technical expertise, Olie developed a style that blends emotional expression with musical precision.
Olie’s creative process took off when he began composing on the piano and later transitioned to digital production. He quickly discovered a passion for the entire songwriting and production process, handling everything from lyrics and instrumentation to vocals himself. It was clear early on: he was hooked.
As he’s grown, so has his taste in music. He draws inspiration from artists like Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, SZA, and Rosalía. While admiring others is easy, discovering his own identity as an artist has been a deeper, more complex journey, one he finds both challenging and thrilling. That moment when he fuses his own personality into a song or genre is when his creativity truly shines.
For Olie, songwriting starts with emotion. Once he finds the right feeling and chords, the rest flows naturally. The bass line appears in his mind, and the drums follow instinctively. To him, songwriting is a sensory experience that requires not just talent, but passion. When all the elements align (emotion, instinct, technique, and heart), that’s when the magic happens.
Now, Olie is bringing all of that together on his new EP, THE ONE. It’s a dance-pop record at heart, with R&B running just underneath. The project moves from the moody dark pop of “UNLOCK,” laced with Middle Eastern melodies as he tries to get past a crush’s guard, to the club-ready rush of “WIN YOU OVER” and “GRAPHIC T-SHIRT,” a record about that instant spark with someone on the dance floor. On “GRAND PRIX,” he turns leaving the past behind into a smooth, confident getaway, and “HIGH ON LOVE” glows with warm synths and a sweeping chorus that shows off his range. Every song on THE ONE was built for the dance floor, and every one of them sounds like Olie.
