Oscar Farrell releases new single ‘Why Won’t You Tell Me’ Dirty Hit’s electronic sub-label dh2, the release follows a string of big-league remixes from the English producer, including a contribution to DJ Seinfeld’s ‘MIRRORS (REMIXED)’ project and a recent rework of Kelly Lee Owens’ ‘Higher’. A proper melancholic mover, ‘Why Won’t You Tell Me’ incorporates the deep warm grooves and journeying synth work that have fast become Farrell’s trademark, with the addition of more cavernous, club-ready textures for the early hours.
To celebrate the release, Oscar Farrell – who also works as musical director and bassist for Sampha’s live shows – will be stepping behind the decks at tomorrow’s dh2 Party at Phonox, alongside fellow label affiliates Kelly Lee Owens, George Daniel, Taylor Skye and special guest Bodhi.
