Pedroz is a mysterious figure with no online presence who allows his music to do the talking. Debuting on Lee Foss’s Repopulate Mars, he links with Blaah Records founder Deeft, who has credits on the likes of Relief, Nervous and South of Saturn. Their cut ‘Tango’ is bumping house music with stiff metal drums that never quit. A sleazy trumpet line adds some late-night intrigue next to Spanish-sounding strings and a soulful female vocal.
Budding São Paulo talent Thi Calista then steps up to make his first appearance on the label following hot tunes on the likes of Appolo Records and Juicy Records. With Pedroz, he cooks up ‘Brisa’ – a steamy and exotic tech house groove with a nagging lead and plenty of wet sounds, rich FX, and a dark vocal that will keep the floor moving.
