Toronto, ON, October 2026. Canadian singer, platinum-selling songwriter, producer and award-winning video director Peter Karroll is re-releasing his single and video “Coming Home” in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, November 11.

“Coming Home” is dedicated to all of the men and women who paid the ultimate price and gave their lives for the freedom of generations to follow, and to the veterans who fought and came home to tell their stories to their sons and daughters.

The song was inspired by the war stories of Karroll’s father, Edward John Karroll (1922-1984). “When my brothers and I would come in late at night after our band played, our father Ed would typically be up reading,” Karroll recalls. “He would welcome us home each night and clearly loved the company of his sons. On many of these nights he would tell us about his experiences in World War 2. He was one of the first 150 commandos trained in Canada and loaned to the British at the start of the war. His stories spanned the European and North African campaigns, and these stories became the emotional fabric and background for the upbringing of my eight siblings and I.”

“Shall we never forget their sacrifice.”

“Coming Home” was written, produced, performed and directed by Peter Karroll; the video was edited by Doug Fury Inc. The single is available now on Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming platforms via Her Royal Majesty’s Entertainment / iGen Ventures Corp. The full video re-releases November 11.

Karroll is making the video available to veteran organizations to share through the Remembrance build-up, and is available for interviews about the story behind the song.
