UK duo Phibes roars back to Bassrush Records with their latest single “Limit,” dropping June 6. A high-octane slice of drum and bass mayhem, their follow-up effort for the label extends Phibes’ sonic signature: fast, ferocious, and relentlessly bass-forward.

Built around razor-sharp sub-bass and glitchy synth stabs, “Limit” charges ahead with whip-smart vocal chops and a pulse-pounding rhythm section. The duo toys with pitch-shifted vocals and call-and-response phrasing, crafting an arrangement that never sits still—a hallmark of Phibes’ wild, genre-crossing sound.
Summing up their new offering with a description said in jest, Phibes shares: “We assure you that no limiters were harmed during the making of this song. We did, however, push the hard clipping to the brink. Thank you Bassrush for having our backs with this one.”
The release follows their January debut on Bassrush with “Better Than You Thought,” which clocked over 200 thousand streams and counting, earning nods from platforms like Jungle Drum and Bass, Affinity Ascension, and Find Your Sounds. With a discography that straddles the low-end spectrum, Phibes continues to raise the bar on genre fusion with every release.
On the live front, Phibes is keeping the heat alive. Fresh off a Canadian tour run, they’re locking in major festival slots at Shambhala, Lost Lands and Let It Roll—plus a highly anticipated U.S. return this October. They’ve already stormed stages at heavyweights like Boomtown and Glastonbury, proving their power behind the decks is just as potent as in the studio.
