Pietro Morello and Alexis Victoria Hall join forces on anthemic new single, ‘Been A Long Time’, arriving via Junior Jack’s Adesso Music label on March 20.
Following previous link-ups on ArtFunk Records and Soul N Pepa, ‘Been A Long Time’ now marks the duo’s third studio collaboration. The track channels old-school house energy from the off, working Hall’s intoxicating gospel-infused vocals amongst a grooving backdrop of jacking drums, weighty low end, and slick piano licks.
Italian-born, Brussels-based artist Pietro Morello has been releasing percussive-leaning house music for several years, with releases on labels such as WyldCard, Moiss Music, and Adesso Music, and support from Jamie Jones and MEDUZA.
Alexis Victoria Hall hails from Manchester, England, and is known for her powerful vocal style that combines soul, funk, gospel, jazz and R&B. With appearances on labels like Defected, Toolroom, Deep Visions, Soulfuric, Midnight Riot, and many more, she stands as one of the UK’s finest multi-genre vocalists.
