Having recently reached Beatport number one with ‘Urban Shaker’, Manchester-based DJ/producer Sam Curran readies three new productions for Jamie Jones’ renowned Hottrax this April. Gaining previous support from Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, and Franky Rizardo, Curran is back with another bass-heavy production that ensures an impressive return to the label.
The title cut ‘Twilight On The Terrace’ brings rolling low end and playful vocal interjections that create a rousing club track, while the bumping ‘Eric’s Rumble’ showcases a reverberating bassline in true Hottrax style, paired with dizzying drops and wonky stabs. Closing out the EP ‘NRG’ harnesses crisp hats, snaking bass grooves, and moody, infectious samples to journey deep into late-night territories.
