Premiere : Jaden Thompson returns to Midnight Parade with ‘Memories’, a heady two-tracker crafted for the dancefloor

An artist whose young career outshines many well beyond his years, UK DJ/producer and label boss Jaden Thompson is continuing his purple patch and establishing himself as a must-see and must-hear artist within the global house realm. A BBC Radio 1 favourite and fabric resident releasing on The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz, Classic Music Company, and Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels alongside Seth Troxler, all before the age of 23, Thompson’s blend of modern house with nods to its past has created a sound palette full of charm, with productions such as ‘Closer’ and ‘Move Your Body’ showcasing his ability to create captivating vocal-led anthems. However, for the third release on his Midnight Parade imprint, Thompson is switching things up and taking things back to the club, with his two-track ‘Memories’ EP welcoming a pair of slick cuts made for bustling dancefloors.

‘Memories’ is a funky and impactful production as rich bass stabs and murky low-end grooves meet playful warped vocal snippets, zig-zagging melodies, and punchy kicks for an understated yet commanding title cut. Sinking into a zippy and rolling groove, ‘Shimmer’ also builds from more paired-back territories as crisp drum licks and sparkling electronics take things deep into the night.

Jaden Thompson ‘Memories’ drops via Midnight Parade on 24th March 2023.
