With his 2023 ‘Dope Dance’ collaboration alongside Tripolism & Nandu crowned as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, Copenhagen’s Radeckt is undoubtedly a rising talent in the underground house scene thanks to his seamless blend of melodic techno, indie dance and hypnotic floor fillers that has earned him support from the likes of Dixon and Âme. Now Radeckt delivers a stunning debut on Bedouin’s Human By Default with a trio of lush sounds across his ‘Human Strangers’ EP.
The title track ‘Human Strangers’ opens up with a spellbinding sound led by a mystic lead melody that weaves throughout the arrangement. Spoken words boom in as if through a PA system, and the rolling beats keep you hooked in a mix of rich textures. ‘Heart’ is another creative fusion of woodblock hits and well-swung grooves featuring sensual vocals from Jeena next to rippling synths that grow ever more tense. Finally, ‘Virtuous Gaze’ ramps up the pace with more fizzing synth lines and suspensory pads that lock you in a trance as the supple drums roll deep.
