Miami-born, Orlando-based producer RAJE returns to Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN / ROTATION on November 11th with his first standalone single, “Peaky & Distorted.”

“Peaky & Distorted” is a straightforward minimal tech club track constructed to smack the crowd where it hurts. Chunky, rubbery basslines and hissing percussive loops combine with idiosyncratic layers of brain-tickling strangeness. Husky, pitched-up hip-hop vocal chops are juxtaposed by the cheeky nature of the track’s tutorial-style narration, which fills the breakdowns with a walkthrough for proper drum programming. It’s a certified dancefloor weapon, one that has already been getting rinsed by tastemakers such as Marco Strous and ACRAZE.
